Not knowing the complicated romantic histories of his parents and Lily, Dan invites the Van der Woodsens to Thanksgiving dinner. The Van der Woodsens were “un-invited” by Blair at the Waldorf dinner after Serena finds out about Blair’s fling with Chuck. As their romantic history was revealed, Alison (guest star Susan Misner) and Rufus agree that they should avoid Lily, and the children discuss the awkward situation. Blair is devastated when she finds out her father would not come since he and Eleanor are getting a divorce, as Nate’s own family dinner deteriorates. Blair’s eating disorder is revealed fully.
